Part Number: ADS114S06B

Dear All,

I am using ADS114S06B as can be seen in the SCH in attachment. It was designed to measure thermocouples.

When operating my final product with power contactors, the A/D is subjected to noise and it stops working: when sending readdata command (continous mode), the answer from A/D is 0 (data, status register and CRC).

Can somone help me to solve this issue?

Part Number: AFE4410

1. AFE4410 in hardware power low power mode (PWDN):Will influence SPI MISO pins (Be lower).

2. AFE4410 power in software low-power mode (PDNAFE): SPI communication is normal, but the power consumption is higher (around 500 uA);

At this point the configuration:Afe4410_RegWrite(0x23,0x10421B);Whether also need to configure the other?

How can I solve the problem of common SPI AFE4410 and other peripherals? At the same time ensure AFE4410 without using is low power?

thanks!

Part Number: ADS7853

Dear colleague,

Our customer plan to use ADS7853 in 1MHz sample rate, the clock frequency is 33.3333MHz, the clock period is 30ns.

But in datasheet as below, tclk MIN is 29.4ns, 30ns is very close to 29.4ns, is that a problem?

Part Number: ADS7842

 Hello guys,

One of my customers is going to use ADS7842 for their new products.

They have a few questions as the follows.

Q1. Can ADS7842 be used with VDIG=3.3V, VANA=5V and VREF=5V?

Q2. When is the timing of input multiplexer selecting?

The device converter should starts converting with CS=L and WR=L.

Is the multiplexer selected (Latched) at WR rising edge before converter start timing?

For example, could you please tell me any sequence procedure to get converted data of AIN2?

Your reply would be much appreciated.

 Best regards,

 Kazuya.

ADS1292R: Respiration/Impedance Measurement Frequency Range

Part Number: ADS1292R

Hey,

unfortunately, I could not find any data on the frequency range of the ADS1292R impedance/respiration signal measured.

Often there is a low-pass filter with a cut-off frequency between 2-4 Hz applied.

What is the frequency range of the respiration signal acquired? Is it generally limited to a low-frequency band under 4 Hz or can I measure frequencies above 4 Hz?

Kind regards and thanks,
Jan

Hi,

I'm currently working on TI's AFE4404 along with OSRAM SFH7050 sensor in 3-LED mode. I wish to know the proper timing engine to operate the LEDs in 2-LED mode using AFE4404 for 1% duty cycle.

Kindly share with me some example of timing engine for 2-LED mode.

ADS8866: Sometimes no data on DOUT

Part Number: ADS8866

We use ADS8866 for measuring analogue signals. We use 3 wire mode. Supply voltage is 3V, supply voltage for reference is 3V switched (to reduce power consumption). In most cases I get data on DOUT. But sometimes DOUT remains low and in that case supply current is approx. 2mA higher. The only way to get ADC working is a power on reset. Is it possible that we enter a Special ADC state (TI uses for production test)? In the old desing we use ADS8325 and we never had such Problems!

DDC112: Output is stuck at max value

Part Number: DDC112

Hi,

I have designed a 4-channel picoammeter based on two DDC112s as a student project. The instrument behaved well enough until it was connected to a beamline slit system. One of the channels got stuck on max output, and has stayed there ever since. I suppose the corresponding input must have been damaged. It behaves as before in test mode. What kind of damage could make the output stay at max?

ADS124S08: Internal temperature sensor

Part Number: ADS124S08

Hi Dimas,

Welcome to the E2E forum! What reference are you using in your configuration?  Usually it is best to use the internal reference when using the system monitor.  Have you verified your communication with an oscilloscope or logic analyzer?  If so, can you send me shots of the communication?  Also it would be helpful to know all the device configuration register settings and the schematic.

The most common issues with communication is using the wrong phase of the SCLK and not holding CS low throughout the entire communication transaction.

Best regards,

Bob B

Hi Bob,
I think that SPI is OK because I can read correctly analog signals from any input, as well digital signals from GPIOs. By the way, I'm using SPI mode 0, because when I started using mode 1 (as described in datasheet) nothing worked. I'm using PIC32MX in this application.
The configuration used is:
SYS: 0x51
INPMUX: 0x6C
PGA: 0x69
DATARATE: 0x02
REF: 0x39
To read Internal temperature sensor:
RDATA:
Status Read
LSB from MSW
MSB from LSW
LSB from LSW

TSW14J56EVM: Data converters forum

Part Number: TSW14J56EVM

 Hello,

I am using a TSW14J56EVM together with a ADC12J1600. Everything seems to work fine when I select the sampling frequency of 1.6G. This seems to be the standard selection in the ADC GUI and it simply works by selecting 1.6G as sampling rate in the HSDC GUI.

However when I try to select 1.0G in both GUIs, which seems to be an available option. I get the picture attached.

I assume this might be due to some parameters that should be changed but that I did not change or to some error in the order I change/update this parameters?

Has anyone encountered this sort of issue? What should be changed to sort this?

Thanks in advance,

Francesco

DAC8760EVM: I-out current range out of spec.

Part Number: DAC8760EVM

I am testing the I-out by installing the JP6 jumper that will put the on-board 300ohm resistor in the I-loop path so in theory I should be able to measure the voltage across the resistor and determine how much current is passing through it.

Since its a 300ohm resistor, an output of 4-20mA should give me a voltage across the resistor in the range of 1.2V and 6V whereas I am getting 0.525V on the low end and 2.336V on the high end.

The voltage output is correct and it goes from 0v to 5v which matches the Vref I have but the current output doesnt make any sense..

I have tried with Boost and without Boost.

I measured the current by putting the multimeter in series of JP6 and I am getting 2.91mA on the low end and 9.32mA on the high end. where as it should be 4mA and 20mA.

ADS1278-SP: IBIS model pinout doesn't correspond to 84 pin CQFP

Part Number: ADS1278-SP

Hello,

I noticed the IBIS model linked here http://www.ti.com/product/ADS1278-SP/toolssoftware doesn't correspond to the pinout of the 84 pin CQFP package in the space datasheet.  Is there a reason for this? or do you have another model for this space package?

Thanks,

ADS41B29: 1.8VCMOS compatiblity

$

Part Number: ADS41B29

1.8V CMOS JEDEC standard calls VOL max 0.45V, VIL min 0.63V. This provides 0.18V noise margin.

However, ADS41B29 Low level input voltage max is only 0.4V. This is less than the guaranteed JEDEC VOL.

This makes it incompatible with Xilinx LVCMOS18 IO standard.

Yet the text indicates that it supports 1.8V CMOS logic.

ADC34J44: SYSREF in subclass 2 to synchronize LMFC across multiple devices.

$

Part Number: ADC34J44

Hi,

I intend to operate this part in Subclass 2.  But I have multi tx and rx environment and I need deterministic latency across all those tx and rx jesd204b pairs.  I have 5 of ADC34J44 paired with 5 corresponding JESD204B RX in 5 FPGAs.  Each FPGA receives one 4 lane ADC34J44.   I need deterministic latency between all 20 ADC lanes (5x4).

I can send sync to all 5 adcs synchronously with deterministic relationship.  So I am thinking if I copied the sync output to the sysref input of each adc, I should be able to synchronize LMFC with deterministic latency across all the devices.

Can this work?

Thank you.

Best regards,

Sanjay
