ADC128S102: Verilog Model

Hi E2E,

Good day.

We have a customer asking for the Verilog model of ADC128S102. The only model available for the ADC128S102 on the TI webpage is the IBIS model. Unfortunately this will not do for the customer. She needs it to be in in the Verilog/SystemVerilog or VHDL.

She is interested in the digital design (SPI interface in particular) with timing information in the model. This is to run FPGA simuations against to make sure that our design with drive the SPI digital interface to your ADC properly.

ADS9234R: Sending Sampling Data over one SDO wire

Hello,

we want to sample I and Q data simultaneously with this chip and then send the data via SPI. Is it possible or do you have a solution to send the data of both channels in one SDO wire so that the first 16 Bits are the data from channel a (I data) and the second 16 Bits are the data from channel b (Q data)? This woud make the data transfer to the µController simpler.

I am programming an ADS1299EEG with the ADS1299EVM evaluation software.

I have configured the ADC Register like so

When I set the number of Samples/CH to anything between 240000-420000 the DRDYB (J3 Pin 15) will transmit a clock signal just fine, but when I bring it up to 480000 it stops sending the clock signal.

The other issue is that it takes nearly two hours for the progress bar to reach 100% once the two minutes of data collection are over. Then when I check the Analysis tab I just see a flat line for CH1 even though I had 3 channels turned on and would normally see some activity form the MEMS accelerometer I have connected.

What is causing this bottleneck? Is there a way around it?

DAC38RF80EVM: Maximum output RF bandwidth

Hi,

I am able to operate the board at 9GHz clock (ext) with x6 interpolation to output an RF chirp from 100-500MHz with a data rate of 1.5GHz. It is mentioned on the datasheet that the board can generate wideband signals up to 4.5 GHz. With the allowable minimum interpolation (x6), how can I configure the GUI to produce an RF chirp from 1-4GHz?

ADS1248: External Reference voltage

I would like to change our design from using the internal 2.048V reference to using an external 5V reference.  Please see attached redline.  My question is: How is the reference selected?  Or how does the ADS1248 select the reference voltage (select voltage across pins 9 and 10 or the voltage across pins 5 and 6)?

Hi,

-I want to convert 12G SDI to LVDS and vice versa. Which way I can follow ? 

-I think first of all  convert the serial data to the parallel data and  vice versa. For this I research the SDI serializer and deserializer but I realize that chips don't use for 12G. Max bandwidth 3G. How can I convert 12G with TI product ?

-Must I use Equalizers, Cable Drivers, Reclockers etc. component ? I think tis chips used for long distance.

ADS1298: Shield Drive with Unipolar Supply

We are using a unipolar implementation in our current design.

In our simulation we are driving our shield op amp with RLDREF (3.3V - 0.0V / 2 = 1.65V).

However, in the ADS1298RECG-FE EVM Users guide (sbau181b) the EVM has three options for shield drive:

AGND, RLDINV and RLDOUT as shown below:

As you can see the options do not include RLDREF. However, our simulations show that RLDREF is
the best option.

Our conclusion appears to be in line with what Ryan was saying in the related post. However, we are
confounded by the EVM design.

AFE4404: using as a SPO2 sensor with 2-LED mode

I want to use AFE4404 to measure spo2 level using 2-LED red and IR. I have interfaced the sensor but I am not able to get the IR led working and values of red and IR led are not being changed upon placing fingers on the sensor. Second issue is the led on time- how to calculate it and what values to be written on their register. I mean if I want red and IR LEDs to be on for 1 ms and off for 1 ms then how to decide the value of start and end counter. and Lastly what is the full sequences of on/off LEDs step by step in order to get the sensor working?

Hello TI team

Could you please advise what is the ettling time of the ADS1235 multiplexer ?

Assuming that the chip is working in continuous mode  and taking into consideration :

  1. The conversion time listed in table 6
  2. The delay time configuration
  3. The communication time for setting the correct channel and triggering the sampling

Are there any other factors that need to be taken into account ?

Could you please provide a rough calculation of the settling time with
sample rate of 400 sps , Sync2 , 2 channels multiplexing , chop disabled ,

What is the maximal throughput available under these conditions ?

I am using the ADS1204 with a 3.3V power supply for both inputs AVDD and BVDD and its internal reference generator. I do not know if that can affect its performance, assuming that the internal reference generator works well with 3.3V as supply voltage at AVDD. Can you clear me how the internal reference work?

ADS125H02EVM: Delta Sigma Eval Software 0.7.8.13, Analysis engine, EVM parameter-Clock allows entry of 1-8MHz. What should setting be for 40KHz sample rate?

I believe the EVM clock parameter range should be 2.5Hz to 40KHz for ADS125H02 but perhaps I don't understand the purpose of the parameter.

Also wanted to note that the automatic driver install for Delta Sigma Eval Software 0.7.8.13 did not work on my Win10 machine.  Manual install required.
